  • How to care for shoes?
Thank you for purchasing this Salomon® product. It is manufactured using the best materials available, but it is recommended that you follow these care instructions for the life of the product. General maintenance: It is recommended that you remove all dirt and mud from the shoes using a soft, wet brush and clean water after each use of the product. Shoes should never be cleaned in the washing machine. Shoes should be dried at room temperature without the aid of an external heat source, including the sun. Leather materials: To prevent the natural aging (cracking, hardening, loss of water resistance) of leather and leather-lined products, Salomon® recommends treating all leather products with a cream or water-based polish such as Nikwax®. Please note that leather treatments may alter the original appearance of the leather but will not affect the leather's performance or properties. Textile materials: To extend the life of the textile and fabric in the products, they should be cleaned regularly by following the care instructions mentioned above. Supplementary materials: Some Salomon® shoes are made using materials that are reinforced in high-wear areas. The appearance of these areas may change over the life of the product but does not affect the performance or features of the shoe. Lining materials: It is recommended to clean the linings of the products periodically to prevent odor formation and extend product life. Salomon® recommends wearing socks at all times to keep the liner durable and odor-free. Salomon's® sock liners contribute to the comfort and cleanliness of their products. Sock liners should be machine washed regularly with warm water and replaced when necessary. Laces: Laces have the potential to become damaged over the life of the product and should be replaced when necessary. Soles: Cushioned midsoles should be kept clean and free of dirt and mud to prevent bacterial growth and premature aging.
